This booklet provides easy to follow, item-by-item instructions plus personal tips along with specific information not provided elsewhere. It will help you submit an accurately completed claim for Compensation and/or Pension by a Veteran correctly the first time. The 2010 rate of pay for a veteran rated 10% disabling is $123.00 per month for life.

 

 

You need the VA Claims Guide if:

 

 

  • You are a veteran who has been injured in the line of duty, you have paid a price for your country that cannot be measured, and you are entitled to VA benefits; or
  • You are leaving the service through separation or retirement and you want to submit a claim that will be processed as fast as possible with the least amount of delay; or
  • You are a Reservist or a member of the National Guard, and you are concerned about your status for VA benefits.
